This summer the Latvian-based structural engineering and design bureau SWETCH has opened its branch in Western Pomerania region of Poland – namely, in the city of Szczecin. Such step was taken with the aim of developing the export of design services with high added value.

The new office of SWETCH was established in office centre PIASTÓW of the Polish city Szczecin and as of this moment is already offering the possibility for technical drawers, construction designers, as well as construction project managers to prove themselves.

Ulvis Silins /Ulvis Siliņš/, chairman of the board of SWETCH, has the following to say: “By means of developing and managing more than 150 high quality steel and precast concrete construction projects for buildings of various sizes and types, SWETCH has, during its five years of existence, become a stable partner for Scandinavian architects, builders, manufacturers of precast concrete and building materials. SWETCH plans not only to become a talent-hunter in the Republic of Poland, but also to develop the existing Latvian team, expanding the office space by almost three times in 2022”.

Artur Buszmicz and Bartlomiej Dejewski have been selected as partners of the SWETCH office in Poland. Both engineers have more than fiwe years of design and project management experience in construction facilities of various scales in Poland. Parallel to his work at SWETCH, B. Dejewski will continue educating the future construction engineers at the Civil Engineering Faculty of the West Pomeranian University of Technology.

Bartlomiej Dejewski, partner of the SWETCH branch in Poland, is satisfied with rapid development of the Polish office: “Premises at the office in Szczecin have been set-up and furnished, and six civil engineers are already working on the new projects. Prior to engaging in their work, all engineers have received training and some continue to adopt the best civil engineering practices of the Latvian office of SWETCH by learning the design environment of the software Tekla Structures”.

Building construction engineering and design company SWETCH was founded in Latvia in 2016. The core of the company in 2021 is formed by 30 civil engineers with extensive international design experience and strong knowledge acquired at technical universities in Latvia, Denmark and Poland.

Experience portfolio of SWETCH comprises development of structural solutions for such highly-regarded projects in the Scandinavian countries as Fifth Terminal at the Arlanda International Airport, student campus buildings at the Eskilstuna University, LIDL head quarter, numerous hotels, office and logistics centres and housing projects in Sweden, as well as structural calculations for schools, medical centres and social service facilities in Norway.

For the third year in a row, the company has received the highest AAA credit rating from Bisnode Group, a leading data and analytics company in Northern and Central Europe.
