The Sporthotellet Granby is a nine storey hotel with 118 rooms, a gym and sports bar on the top floor. It is the biggest hotel in Uppsala. This object is interesting because the load-bearing construction frames supporting the roof are supported by HCS. The most challenging aspect of the object was ensuring the major uplift capability, which arose as a result of the considerable wind plane and few rigid elements.
